Title II Scenarios
1. You are visiting a museum in an old historic house run by Richmond County. The museum offers guided tours. The house is two stories and has no elevator to the second floor.
Is this museum covered by the ADA?
If so, by what title?
What modifications should be made for?
A person who is blind?
A person with a cognitive impairment?
A person who uses a walker?
2. The Parks and Recreation Department runs a basketball program for adults. The program is held at several locations in the county. You are interested in participating on a wheelchair accessible team. The location for this team is not held at the location closest to you.
Is this program covered under the ADA?
If so, does the program comply with the ADA? Why or why not?
3. The Health Department offers breast cancer screening every Wednesday and Friday. Once a month on Friday they offer a special day for women with disabilities.
Is this covered by Title II?

What are some of the steps the Health Department could take to make this program accessible?
4. Your local library is sponsoring a county wide summer reading program. All citizens are encouraged to read the same book and participate in follow up activities. Among these activities the library is hosting a "meet the author" event. The author will give a talk and perform blue grass music. You are planning to take your mother and your aunt. Your mother has mobility issues and your aunt has a hearing impairment.
