NANCY DUNCAN

As Executive Director of Disability Resource Group for over fourteen years Ms. Duncan, conducts workshops across Georgia and is a technical assistance consultant for a National Disabilities Law hotline. She consults with law firms, architects, state and local government employers, and businesses on disability issues.

Ms. Duncan has conducted Disability Law seminars across the country, as the lead trainer for “Project Implement” sponsored by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Advocacy Office and the Georgia Council for the Hearing Impaired. She serves as member of the state-wide “Transition from School to Work” task force, on the advisory board for Jobs for All and on the “Task Force for Improved Health Services to Underserved Populations in the State of Georgia.” She is a trainer with the National Coalition Building Institute, as well as for the state ADA Coordinator's office.

Ms. Duncan has worked in the disability field for almost thirty years in a variety of contexts. She holds an undergraduate degree from Furman University and two masters degrees in counseling.  Ms. Duncan is blind herself and so brings her personal, as well as professional experience to bear on her subject.  She has three children, one of whom is also blind and has autism.
